Our Counselors
Carolyn J Santana
My name is Carolyn J Santana known as "Santana".
I serve as a bilingual school counselor for the 11th and 12th grade at Bronx Compass High School. I'm the daughter of Dominican immigrant parents. I'm a product of The Bronx; born and raised. I'm an alumni of Health Opportunities High School in the Bronx. I'm a first generation college graduate from Mount Saint Mary College with a Bachelors in Psychology. I continued my education at Lehman College where I obtained my Masters in Education in the field of School Counseling with a Bilingual Certification.
I'm currently pursuing my Mental Health Counseling License at Alfred University. I'm extremely passionate about the post-secondary process and educating students and families about different opportunities after graduation. It is important to me to help break negative generational cycles in our community through access. I look forward to meeting and working with you all throughout your high school journey.

Scott Edwards
My name is Scott Edwards (you can call me Scott) and I am the school social worker for Bronx Compass.
I have been working with high school students and young adults my entire career and have been at Bronx Compass since 2014. I received my Bachelors in Psychology at NYU before working in the field of youth development with City Year in San Jose, CA and East Harlem. Following my time at City Year, I went to the Silberman School of Social Work at Hunter College to become a licensed social worker and joined the staff at Bronx Compass following graduate school.
My passion is to support young people with their mental health as they navigate through some of the toughest years of their lives so they can enter adulthood learning how to love themselves and continue moving toward their goals.
